Avalanche Skills Training 1 (AST1) for sledders

February 1, 2020 00:00 am to February 2, 2020 23:59 pm

Course hosted in Burns Lake B.C.

An AST 1 course is where you’ll learn the fundamentals of travelling in avalanche terrain. We start with a day in town doing theory and some practical elements, followed by a full day in the mountains.  This course is suitable for people with basic training and some experience.

We all have to start somewhere!  This winter take the training that will help you understand your environment and the tools available to you, and help you make good decisions every time you head out into the backcountry.  Have a blast with others who are just as keen as you are to have a fun, make great choices, and come home at the end of the day.
