Front/Floor Desk Staff

We are looking for keen, community-minded individuals who want to share their passion for climbing with Prince George!

Some of Front/Floor Desk Staff Duties:

  • You are responsible for greeting all new and previous customers of OVERhang
  • You ensure all customers are dealt with in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner
  • You are responsible for taking registrations, collecting payments and handling the cash register
  • You are responsible for managing rental equipment and helping size people for harnesses and shoes
  • You are responsible for providing climbing gym orientations and conducting ongoing supervision in the gym and associated spaces
  • Number one priority is safety and risk management, while still ensuring a fun, relaxed, inclusive, and educated environment
  • You are friendly and welcoming to all clients, regardless of age, gender, group size, etc.
  • You are focused, with great situational awareness
  • You are professional!  You are helpful, friendly, engaging, and firm
  • Staff is responsible for answering the phone and taking messages
  • Staff is responsible for keeping a professional attitude and appropriate attire
  • When the gym is busy, you are cool under pressure; when the gym is quiet, you find useful tasks
  • You share responsibility for the daily and ongoing cleaning of the OVERhang facility
  • As OVERhang is also an education centre, with courses in first aid and outdoor safety, gym staff also work seamlessly with the other business areas to take registrations, answer questions, arrange payments, inventory equipment, tidy the training areas, sanitise first aid equipment, and other tasks as appropriate/requested.
